Regatta meadow, St.Neots is the perfect venue for testing yourself on a fast undulating course where the tempo is high and the competition is fierce (and friendly!)
Whether you are an experienced athlete looking for a very fast time over the one of the three distances, or you are a novice competitor looking for a safe and friendly venue for your first open water triathlon, then St.Neots triathlons are ideal. St.Neots is a great venue, the blaring PA, and supporters from the local town will push you beyond what you think you’re capable of. Whether it’s your first triathlon or you’re trying to qualify for the British Age-Group Team, we guarantee you’ll enjoy this fantastic venue.
The swim takes place in the beautiful clean waters of the River Ouse, with a simple out and back course followed by a one or two lap bike course that takes you through some of the most scenic villages in the area. Although undulating this course with its smooth roads and downhill last 5 miles will see some fast times. The run is a two or four lap course around the Riverside Park that loops past the finish area on your laps so your friends and family can support and cheer you on. The venue offers camping and ample free car-parking, so it’s an ideal event to bring the family to as they’ll get to see you swim, bike and run as well as have the opportunity to enjoy the park environment. The venue has very easy access to the local town that is a two minute walk away.

- Super Sprint : 400m swim / 10km bike / 2.5km run
- Sprint : 750m swim / 23.9km bike / 5km run
- Standard : 1500m swim / 45km bike / 10km run

Routes
Arrival and Registration
Parking will be at the venue (Riverside Park) *weather permitting, if wet follow marshals and signs to local car parks*
NOTE you will collect your race pack at registration on the day of the event. Nothing will be posted prior to the event.
Full race brief / information will be sent by email pre-event once online entries close. (Normally Wednesday prior to the race, Please note we only send to the email address you registered with) The full race brief will be posted HERE by Wednesday as well.
Registration will be open from 16.00 – 18.00 on Saturday evening prior to the event and from 06.00 – 07.30 am on race day. Please ensure you arrive early to avoid that last minute rush.
Minimum age of competitors
- The minimum age to take part in the Sprint Distance Event is 15 as of age on 31st December 2016
- The minimum age to take part in the Standard Distance Event is 17 as of age on 31st December 2016
Parking
Parking will be at Riverside Park. (50m from transition)
Identification
You will be issued with a race number which must be clearly visible on your front or back at all times. You will also be number marked on your hand with a pen. Number belts are allowed, all we ask it that we can see your number at the timing points as a backup to the electronic system.
British Triathlon Federation Rules
BTF rules All competitors must comply with BTF rules (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to all races) All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £5 levy for a day licence, this is payable on the day at registration. (This is not included in your entry fee) BTF members must produce their licence at registration or a £5 levy will be charged prior to racing.

Safety
If circumstances deem the course or travel conditions to be unsafe or it falls outside of the BTF guidelines, Nicetri have the right to change/move, or cancel the event at short notice.
Keep Racing Tidy
Chip Timing
Chip Timing Solutions will provide computerised chip timing via an electronic chip system that you attach to your ankle. Please attach the chip to your LEFT ankle and make sure your run over the mats at the various timing points. Your finish time and splits will be available shortly after completing the event.
Transition Rules
Security will always be present in the transition area. Only competitors wearing their I.D. will be allowed in or out of this area. Your race pack will include a race number and 2 smaller labels which are to be attached to your bike and helmet, this must be done prior to entering transition. You must rack your bike in the numbered position. No riding is allowed in the transition area. Your helmet must be fastened on your head at all times whilst you are on your bike or running with your bike through transition.
Race start
Race start times will be from 7.50 am
Briefing
Race start time will be announced nearer the time (see race brief). Race Briefing will take place at 07.45 am .
Prizes
Prizes are both for men and women. One prize per competitor. A full breakdown of prizes and trophies will be given before the event in the race brief.
Camping / Accommodation
