Run Grafham Challenges 2017

Distances: Marathon | 1 Lap Challenge 8.9 miles | Dam Wall Fun Run 2 miles

• 10:00 1 lap Challenge Registration Closes
• 10:30 1 lap Challenge Starts

The weather seems as though it could be kind to you with a dry start with light winds but as with all British weather this is subject to change….

PARKING

Parking is onsite and open from 07:00 on race day.
There is a venue car park charge, £3.00 for the day, so please bring your change  (I know, but that’s out of my hands!)

(Please be nice to our parking attendants they are volunteers. Anyone found being abusive to these guy’s will not be allowed to compete)

REGISTRATION

Morning of the event from 08:00 – 10:00. Don’t be late! Parking is onsite and open from 07:00, follow the signs.

Please note: NOTHING WILL BE POSTED TO YOU;  Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to register and prepare yourselves (the races will start with or without you).

At registration you will receive the following items:

• 1 x Race Number: This has your timing chip on the back. Do not bend or put pins through the chip.

NO RACE NUMBER = NO TIME

(we do use back up cameras but please ensure you wear your race number)

COURSES

DAM WALL FUN RUN COURSE
This is an out and back course along the Dam. You will be required to turn around a cone at the end of the dam. CLICK HERE TO VIEW

1 LAP CHALLENGE & MARATHON COURSE
Follows the natural trail path around Grafham Water, it will be well signed and marshalled.

WATER STATIONS
Are situated at the Fishermans Car Park, Perry Car Park and at the Finish/more laps (Marlow car park).

Approx distances over 1 lap: 2.5 miles, 6 miles and finish/ 8.91.

At each each water there will be cups of water, Energy Gels, sweets and water bowls for people running with dogs.

Personal Race Fluid and Nutrition
If you carry and use gels or other types of nutrition while running. Please discard the wrappers at the water stations,

If you can carry it full, you can carry it empty.

Sorry, but anyone caught discarding litter outside the drop zones will be disqualified and their results removed.(please respect the countryside and do your bit for the enviroment)

SPECTATORS
The start and finish will be well marshalled and cordoned for your safety. please don’t climb on the barriers. For those that want to watch your runner out on the course there is a car park at Perry approx 6 miles round the course, there are toilets and refreshments available at this car park.

PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE COURSE OR GRASS VERGES.

FUN RUN PRESENTATION 

Fun Run Presentation will comence as soon as the the final results are produced, (Approx Time of 10:00am)

1 LAP PRESENTATION
1 Lap Presentation will comence as soon as the the final results are produced.
(Approx Time of 12:30pm)

MARATHON PRESENTATION

Marathon Presentation will comence as soon as the the final results are produced,
(Prizes for this race may be collected early)

FINISH

At the finish you will find refreshments and a results tent for you instant print outs.

RESULTS
All race results will be live to the internet as you cross the finish line so spectators/family can see your results instantly on their mobile devices. They can be found HERE

FIRST AID & ADDITIONAL INFO

Nicetri & Water & safety Medical will be providing first aid cover for the event. If you are injured or witness a fellow competitor getting injured please alert your nearest marshal, who will call for assistance, there are also marshals out on the course that are first aid trained.

Baggage can be stored in your cars and we can tag and store your keys if you wish. Collect your tag at registration. Use this facility at your own risk we accept no responsibility for lose or damage however so caused.
