Swimming in this iconic lake is truly amazing, Grafham Water, with its clear water, accurate marker points and clear lines of sight provides a great place to take on your first open water swim. The Grafham Water Swims are open to swimmers of all ages from 13 upwards. We can’t promise that the water will be warm, but you do have the option to wear a wetsuit if you wish

We’d recommend all beginners, and those who feel the cold, to wear a wetsuit – This will help keep you warm and provide more buoyancy in the water. Experienced swimmers can wear any swimwear – even swimskins

The Australian style exit makes a great opportunity for your family to get those all important race day photos or you can just swim around continually without stopping, you decide.

This is a chip timed event but you will be responsible for counting your own laps. (TIP… Elastic bands is a good way to keep count, change from one wrist to the other as you turn for your next lap)
